Colloidal silica-Application to textile industry

The acidic silica sol forms a silanol group on the fiber surface to make the fiber hydrophilic and improve the chargeability of the flocking hair. It is the main component of the flock treatment agent for electrostatic flocking and has a dispersing effect; according to different process links, the following actualities application:

1. The combined use of silica sol and hair oil to treat wool rabbit hair increases the cohesion between fibers, improves the spinnability of wool rabbit hair, reduces end breakage, prevents flying, and improves production efficiency.

2. Adding silica sol to the textile auxiliaries can make the yarn slip resistant, make the fabric crisp [tǐng kuò], have a dry feeling, and can also control the luster of the fabric.

3. Adding silica sol to the warp yarn sizing liquid can improve the adhesion of the slurry, facilitate the formation of a sizing film, save the slurry, and shorten the drying time.

4. When using fine-grain rolling or twisting sizing, adding silica sol to polyvinyl alcohol, carboxymethyl cellulose, natural starch and grease and other slurries can make the warp yarns easy to separate and non-slip non-stop yarn.

5. Add silica sol to starch glue to treat fabrics, such as carpets, etc., which can prevent slippage and dust, but also prevent static electricity and not stick to dust.
